In the GP, Checo slotted in behind Ocon as both were stuck behind Magnussen. The pit wall asked Esteban, who couldn’t overhaul the visibly slower Dane, to let Sergio have a shot. He too failed to take the spot. Perez handed back the position to the Frenchman. It’s obviously nicer to see the team work in a concerted fashion rather than like it did in Singapore.
