Nico Rosberg is looking to carry on his strong start to the weekend having been fastest in both Friday practice sessions, leading team-mate Lewis Hamilton by just under 0.4s in FP2. Hamilton says he is not concerned by Rosberg's early pace, but the new championship leader will need to hit back on Saturday.

Ferrari edged Red Bull in terms of one lap pace on Friday, but Daniel Ricciardo was happy with the long run potential of the RB12 which looked capable of challenging Mercedes.

McLaren remained a top ten challenger but missed out on FP2 running when Jenson Button got a small piece of carbon stuck in his eye which required a trip to hospital. The 2009 world champion has been cleared to take part in the rest of the race weekend, with the bit of carbon removed on Friday evening.

F1i will bring you all the action as it happens from the final practice session on Saturday morning, which starts at 11:00 local time. You can also get involved with any questions or comments for the team at Hockenheim.
