If a week ago, someone told Lewis he’d head off on holiday with a 24-point advantage over Vettel in the championship, he would’ve said they were talking rubbish. Following last week’s miracle in Germany, the Hungarian skies were favourable when the Mercedes’ were on slicks. On Sunday his trusty team mate did his part to keep the quicker Ferraris from posing a threat. We may have seen the turning point in the battle to become a five-time F1 world champ, but there will be nine more weekends to settle the issue.
