Hartley was a happy chap late Saturday afternoon, following his first go in Q3, which he summarized as a perfect call from the pit wall. This however wasn’t the case in the race, when he was called in for fresh rubber much earlier than Gasly. Later on, Grosjean, Alonso and Vandoorne got by and Brendon was out of the top ten. The Kiwi missed out on a good opportunity to score a point or two.
