The Las Vegas GP’s second practice is tentatively set to get underway at 02:30 local time as organisers complete their track inspection.
The opening practice was halted and subsequently cancelled after just nine minutes after a loose water drain cover was thrown up by the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz, significantly damaging the car’s underside.
The same fate also befell the Alpine of Esteban Ocon. Both teams have been forced to build up new chassis.
The delayed FP2 session has been extended to 90 minutes to compensate for the opening practice curtailed sessions.
Unfortunately, the session will be closed to the public.

Holding the sessions behind closed gates is likely to add another layer of discontent from the fans. Welcome to Las Vegas!
