2019 French Grand Prix Guide + Info:

The French Grand Prix has had a new home since 2018, Circuit Paul Ricard, a former test track, has a 5 year deal for the French Grand Prix which will see it go through to 2022.

Le Castellet as its also known, has been hosting other races series such as the Blancpain GT Series but for 2018 the track underwent a significant update to ensure it met requirements for an F1 Grand Prix.

Characterised by the famous painted run off areas, designed to punish drivers who stray off the track by damaging their tyres, the circuit features a long back straight, the Mistral straight, which uses one of the chicane configurations for the French Grand Prix.

2018 saw heavy traffic issues, so spectators attending the French Grand Prix are warned to arrive early to avoid the queues.
