That one memorable British GP drive by Mansell

Nigel Mansell overcame an untimely pit-stop and a 29-second gap to Williams team mate Nelson Piquet to win the British GP on this day in 1987.

It was a memorable drive by 'our Nige'.  After his Williams FW11B was hampered by a massive vibration, Mansell pitted and rejoined proceedings with 28 of the 65 laps left and 29 seconds behind Piquet.

But a ferocious determination coupled with a roaring crowd - which he could just about hear above his howling engine - had him reeling in the Brazilian lap after lap.

When he caught up, Mansell executed a bold dummy move through Stowe which sent the crowd into raptures and the Brit on to his tenth career win in F1.
