A milestone moment for the Schumacher family unfolded at the Nürburgring last weekend when Ralf and son David shared the top step of the podium in the Prototype Cup Germany event.
The duo, making a guest appearance in the series, dominated the weekend at the wheel of their Ligier LMP3 car securing pole position and setting the fastest time in every practice session.
David, behind the wheel for the opening stint on Sunday, relinquished the lead briefly before reclaiming it, setting the stage for his father's triumphant charge to the finish.
“It was such an emotional and successful weekend,” commented David. A dream came true to be driving with my dad and hats off to him. Thank you dad that this became real!

The former F1 driver and six-time Grand Prix winner was also beaming with joy at the end of the day, praising the professional level of the series.
“An unforgettable day,” said Ralf. “Both of us on the podium together, what an incredible day.
“I believe Formula 4 teams like our US Racing are very professional and know what they are doing. We were excellently prepared. It is important that the car is fast in all conditions, and we achieved that.
“The series, the car and the whole concept are really good.”
