Toto Wolff says Nico Rosberg's comfortable victory in the Austrian Grand Prix shows the 2015 title race will go down to the final round.
Rosberg took his third win of the season at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday, beating Lewis Hamilton despite his team-mate having started on pole position. With Rosberg easing away from the moment he took the lead at Turn 1, Wolff says he is not surprised to see the German fighting back after Hamilton's impressive start to the season.
"We have the discussion every time and I remember a couple of races [ago] the question came up about whether that would be the tipping point and he would become No.2," Wolff said. "I kept repeating how I see him and that is that he is mentally very strong – particularly strong. We have seen that.
"Most of the time they were under pressure because they kept pushing each other, we saw that in qualifying yesterday and then he was faultless and had great speed during the race. I would just say he has that strength and it’s going to go down to the wire."
And Wolff says Rosberg's race performance was "faultless" as he ensured he never came under pressure from Hamilton.
"This year the races we have seen were somehow characterised by any mistakes of both of them and the team. I have seen great race pace and faultless execution, so whether that was an active process, I don’t know, but definitely a great performance."
