Nico Rosberg was edged out by Lewis Hamilton in Saturday's British Grand Prix qualifying session, finishing a little over a tenth of a second from his team mate's pole position.
As has been regularly the case since the beginning of the season, the first run in Q3 was the fastest for most drivers. Rosberg was no exception, failing to improve while also complaining of the Mercedes' balance in the final segment.
"The first lap was really good, so there's not much to say about that and Lewis was just quicker," commented the German driver. "Not many improved on the last run, except for Felipe. There was something wrong with my left front, so I had big understeer. We need to look into what it was..."
Rosberg also praised the British crowds for showing up in such great numbers on Saturday. "It was really awesome to see how many people have come today. Out in the grandstands it's incredible, it's a full house more or less already today. It's just great to see how enthusiastic everybody is in this country about our sport."
