Paul Hembery, Pirelli's familiar face in the F1 paddock is moving on to a new position following a company reshuffle.

Starting next week, Hembery will be heading to Latin America where he will assume the role of Pirelli CEO for the region.

The Brit will however continue to oversee the company's motorsport division and as such, will be seen at a few Grand prix this season.

Hembery's new responsibilities will lead to the promotion of racing manager Mario Isola as head of car racing, working in tandem with Hembery who will continue his involvement in commercial negotiations while Isola shall focus on technical matters.

"Paul has a huge experience and knowledge of motorsport, so it is very helpful to have him on board for the future, and give us guidance for the future direction of motorsport,” said Isola.

“I think that Paul will maintain these [commercial] responsibilities at a high level, like the F1 commission. I am happy if he continues to manage this area and I am happy to do the rest.”

Isola added that he will continue to strengthen the foundation built with teams and drivers over the years.

"I want to carry on with the same situation and also with the drivers. I am happy to continue and grow with the teams and grow the relationship.

F1 is always developing and running quickly. We need to stay at the same speed. We cannot relax. You can never relax here."
