As it seeks to resolve its chronic brake issues, Haas F1 Team is looking at Bahrain as a possible opportunity to trial Carbone Industrie's product.

The US outfit has suffered from a lack of consistency of its pad and disc combo supllied by Brembo, a problem which slowly but surely has eroded the confidence of Haas' Romain Grosjean.

"I can't live with the weight of brake issues," Grosjean reiterated in Barcelona.

"It clearly is something key for me and I struggle a lot because of that. Now, we'll try to work at best with people at Brembo to find solutions."

Haas is now hoping it will be able to test an alternative brake product from Carbon Industrie as early as the Bahrain race weekend, the third race of the season.

Team boss Guenther Steiner is insisting that the brake issue is not at the forefront of its worries as, interestingly, new recruit Kevin Magnussen is not complaining.

"We have got things in the pipeline but they just take a little bit of time," Steiner said.

"For the short term we have got a solution which is maybe not ideal but is at least safe. Then, when we get on with the programme after the first races, hopefully then we will have the final solution."
