Top speed isn't exactly the focus of teams racing in Monaco with set-up mostly centered around downforce.
The short run from Rascasse to Ste Devote did showcase however the speed of Force India drivers Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez.
But the figures are predictably down by 40 to 50 km/h compared to the typical F1 venue.
At the bottom of speed trap readings, McLaren is inevitably slow.
But Carlos Sainz, who qualified P6 and finished in the same spot, was also a huge laggard. A weakness which, given his impressive performance, really underlines his car's efficiency around Monaco. And his own talent of course.
