Felix Rosenqvist clinched his first Formula E win this afternoon in round 1 of the double-action ePrix event in Berlin.
The victory also marked the first triumph in the all-electric series for India's Mahindra Racing.
Poleman Lucas di Grassi led the field from Rosenqvist when the lights went green and remained in command until drivers started their car rotations.
The 25-year-old Swede, who is competing in his first season of Formula E, emerged ahead however and took over the race lead to pull out a comfortable advantage over Audi Sport Abt's di Grassi despite the latter's FanBoost advantage.
Rosenqvist's team mate Nick Heidfeld crossed the checkered flag third, giving Mahindra its first double-podium finish, followed by Jose Maria Lopez, Jean-Eric Vergne, Sebastien Buemi, Nicolas Prost, Daniel Abt, Sam Bird, Jean-Eric Vergne and Marco Engel to round out the top 10.
Berlin will enjoy a second round of Formula E tomorrow.
