Four-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will be rooting for Darrell Wallace Jr. in today's epic Daytona 500 event.
The Mercedes driver posted a message on Twitter, sending his best wishes to the 24-year-old NASCAR driver, one of the blossoming personalities of the series, who will become the first African-American to compete in the Daytona 500 since Wendell Scott in 1969.
Hey @BubbaWallace! Wishing you the absolute best today in your race. Smash it!! 🙌🏽 🏁

Wallace competes full-time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, driving the #43 Chevrolet Camaro for Richard Petty Motorsports.
The blue-ribbon race which takes place at 2.30pm local time - or 7.30pm in the UK - will also see Danica Patrick line up for the very last time in a NASCAR race.
Hendrick Motorsports Alex Bowman will lead the field at the start from Joe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin and Team Penske's Ryan Blaney.
