Formula 1 has just released a series of renderings that provide a clear indication of its cars' aesthetics when the sport ushers in its new rules in 2021.
F1 is still in the process of finalizing its future regulation platform, and although only minor changes are now expected to the engine format, today's images suggest more significant evolutions with regard to aerodynamics.
The radical cars depicted in the renderings showcase several different concepts offering various degrees of complexity.
Overall one will note relatively simple front wing designs as well as changes to the halo's curves, with a general heavy emphasis on fluid lines.
Sidepod structure also appears fairly non complex while at the rear, the wing ensemble is projected as perhaps smaller and more integrated. And naturally, the cars are shown with 18-inch wheels.
Commenting on the freshly released stunning images, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff liked what he saw.
"If this is the Formula 1 of the future, count me in!" enthused the Austrian.
