Scuderia Ferrari has elected to take an aggressive approach to its compound selection for the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona.
The Italian outfit displayed strong pre-season form at the Circuit de Catalunya and it hopes it will pick up where it left off last winter with the help of 9 sets of Pirelli's soft C3 tyres for Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc.
Ferrari won't be alone in stocking up on the red-rimmed rubber, with sister team Alfa Romeo and Renault also choosing 9 sets for each of their drivers.
Mercedes will take 8 sets of softs while Red Bull has gone for just 7 sets of C3s, the least of any team.
Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas have chosen different allocations of the C2 medium tyre, as have Vettel and Leclerc.
Pirelli has nominated its hardest compounds for Barcelona, the same selection it offered at Bahrain where Ferrari outpaced Mercedes before stumbling on race day.
