Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas have each donated a pair of 2019 race suits to Bonham for the benefit of The Blue Auction in aid of NHS Charities COVID-19 Urgent Appeal.
NHS workers have paid a heavy tribute in the UK to the coronavirus pandemic, with 27 members of the NHS succumbing to the COVID-19 disease, while 15,000 people were confirmed to have died so far from the virus in UK hospitals.
Celebrities and artists have donated artifacts and works to the online auction that will run for three weeks, the funds of which will help support the health and wellbeing of NHS staff and volunteers supporting Covid-19 patients.
Bonhams will be waiving all charges meaning that 100%of the proceeds shall go directly to the NHS Charities COVID-19 Urgent Appeal.
Hamilton's race suit was worn last year during practice sessions in Monaco, Austria and Silverstone. The open bid currently stands at £6,500.
Bottas' overalls were worn by the Finn in practice sessions in Baku, Monaco, Paul Ricard and Silverstone, with the latest bid indicated at £1,000.
The auction is a great opportunity to own a pair of items that are sought- after by fans and ollectors alike, while also donating to a tremendously important cause.
