In an ideal world, Pierre Gasly's favourite venue would be located near his home and include a blend of the best corners from other tracks, while racing would always take place in the rain!
In a recent AlphaTauri Live Chat with fans from his confinement retreat in Dubai, Gasly was asked how he would design his 'perfect race' in terms of the ideal track, its location, the weather and the type of car.
"The location would probably be near my house so I can go there every day and I can practice day in and day out," Gasly said.
"Track design, I think a mix of all the corners that I like. My favourite track, for qualifying especially, is Monaco as you get such an adrenaline rush.
"I love Spa, I like high-speed corners in general, so Suzuka. Quite technical, I like Budapest and Silverstone. The problem is I like most tracks in general. So maybe just take one corner of each.
"I like long tracks too like Singapore which has many corners. So, my favourite corners from each track."
Gasly's ideal scenario would also involve a wet race, a choice conditioned by the area in France where he grew up.
"And the weather I love rain," he said. "I grew up in Normandy and I got to drive under the rain quite often, I do like it because you get more sliding and it makes it a bit more challenging.
His favourite ride on the other hand would be no different than F1's current generation of cars.
"The car? Probably be the ones we have now as they are the fastest and in terms of feeling, driving them is really enjoyable but I would have loved to try F1 cars from the past in the 1970s or 1980s."
