It won't be let out of its stable until later this month, but Ferrari's 2022 prancing horse was fired up and came alive at Maranello on Thursday.
The Scuderia's F1-75 that honours Ferrari's 75th anniversary will be unveiled to the public on February 17.
The all-new contender that was designed to F1's new regulations is the 68th F1 car to be fielded by the legendary Italian outfit.
It will be powered by a significantly updated internal combustion engine and will feature major concept changes under the bodywork that cater to F1's radical new regulation philosophy centered around ground effects.
"This is a very special moment, more so than at similar occasions in previous years," said Scuderia boss Mattia Binotto who over saw proceedings as the F1-75 was fired up.
"The F1-75 is a completely new car and is the culmination of a journey we all started together a few years back, working as a united and determined team."
