Ferrari have lodged a protest against Monaco GP race winner Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen, alleging that both Red Bull drivers crossed the pitlane exit yellow line when they rejoined the race after their respective pitstops in the first part of the event.
Footage of Verstappen's exit from the pitlane on lap 22 did not show that the Dutchman had conclusively crossed the line as he made his way back onto the track, and there was no in-race investigation by the FIA stewards.
But Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto was adamant in a post-race interview that Verstappen had crossed the line instead of holding to the right side of the track.
"As Ferrari we are disappointed because we think there was clear breach of regulations on the two Red Bulls for going on the yellow line exiting the pits," Binotto told Sky F1.
"I think it was not close. He was on the line and if you look at the sporting code, the wording says crossing.
"Then we had a clarification at Turkey in 2020 to avoid any discussions and, if you look at the race driver notes, it says staying to the right: so staying on the line is breaching the race director notes.
"I think that each single team has the task to follow the race directors' notes. It is clear and we are still seeking clarification with the FIA."
Horner was informed of Ferrari's protest during his conference with the media, but appeared untroubled by the Scuderia's action.
"All the footage we have seen we have been content with," he said.
