Ferrari has announced that it will unveil its 2023 contender – currently codenamed 'project 675' – on Valentine's Day, or February 14.
The Scuderia will pull the covers off its new car just one day after Aston Martin launches its AMR23 on February 13.
"February 14 next year will be a special day for lovers…of the Scuderia, as Ferrari's 2023 car will be launched on St. Valentine's Day," said the Italian outfit.
"Going by the project number 675, with its official designation to be revealed at a later date, the new car will be taking part in the 73rd year of the Formula 1 World Championship.
"For the third consecutive year, driving duties will fall to the pairing of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz."
While all eyes will be on the Scuderia's 2023 prancing horse, a lot of attention will also be focused on new team boss Frederic Vasseur who takes over from Ferrari's previous team principal Mattia Binotto.
Ferrari is aiming to field a winning machine next season, but the House of Maranello is also looking to improve and strengthen its track-side operations and iron out the creases within its organization that led to costly missteps and strategy blunders during its campaign this year.
However, speaking at the FIA's recent prize giving gala in Bologna, Leclerc said that Ferrari's crews were sparing no effort to develop a successful successor to the team's winning F1-75.
"We’ve been working extremely hard in the past year to try and understand what were the weaknesses of this car in order to get better for next year’s car," commented Leclerc who delivered three wins to Ferrari this year.
"I also think that after the 2021 season, where we've been working very well and reset it a little bit from 2020 that was a difficult season, we have been working in the right direction and in the right way.
"This gives me the confidence that we'll have a competitive car for 2023."
