The Australian Grand Prix stewards have taken no further action on the late race incident involving Alpine drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly.
The pair came together shortly after the race's second restart when pandemonium ensued in the field.
Gasly had been forced to run wide onto the grass at the first corner to avoid hitting Fernando Alonso's Aston Martin. But when he came back onto the track he drifted right into the path of his teammate's car.
The contact sent both cars into the outside wall and into retirement.
The stewards put the run-in under investigation, but it was a delicate case for Gasly who is just two points shy of a race ban on his F1 superlicence.
But the Frenchman was ultimately spared any further drama as the officials opted to take no further action.
"The Stewards heard from the driver of Car 10 (Pierre Gasly), the driver of Car 31 (Esteban Ocon), a team representative and reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video and in-car video evidence and determined that it was a first lap racing incident," read a statement from the Stewards.
"Both cars recognised and accepted this as such. In the circumstances, we took no further action."
Ocon ws quick to absolve his teammate of any wrongdoing, but was critical of the driving standards of several of his rivals on the restart, calling their behaviour "a bit suicidal".
