Lando Norris was the victim of a heist while on holiday recently in Marbella where robbers raided the villa where the McLaren driver and several of his friends were staying.
The break-in took place while everyone was out on the town one evening.
In the absence of the villa's residents, the perpetrators broke in and made away with many expensive items.
"We were out for dinner and our villa got robbed," Norris told . A mixture of many things were stolen," he told PA. "Some were expensive and some were not so expensive.
"It is still an ongoing conversation so I cannot say too much."
Among the victims was also Norris' good friend and social media influence Jennie Dimova, who posted a video to her TikTok account describing her plight.
"If you are wondering why I look like that it is because our villa got robbed and everything I have ever owned – my clothes, my shoes, my bags, my jewellery – everything has been taken – and I am left with literally nothing.
"I cried for two hours but what can I do?"
Unfortunately, the larceny wasn't Norris' first time experiencing a theft. In 2021, the young McLaren driver was mugged as he was leaving Wembley Stadium after the Euro final between England and Italy.
As he was making his way towards his McLaren road car, Norris was approached and threatened by several individuals who stole his valuable Richard Mille watch, an ordeal also suffered by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in 2022.
