Renault e.dams' Sebastian Buemi  won the Buenos Aires ePrix today, clinching his third consecutive Formula E win of the season and consolidating his championship lead in the full-electric series.

Poleman Lucas di Grassi led the field off the grid but was successfully challenged early on by Jean-Eric Vergne, with Sebastian Buemi following suit.

The Swiss driver took the lead on lap 6, ran untroubled to the end of his first stint before resuming his dominance in the second part of the 37-lap race, albeit with Techeetah's Jean-Eric Vergne always close behind.

But JEV's challenge just fell short of upsetting his rival's lead while Abt's Lucas di Grassi was the third man to enjoy the view on the podium.

DS Virgin's Sam Bird got kicked out of the proceedings on the first lap when Dragon's Jerome D'Ambrosio oversteered and forced the Brit into the wall.

"The first stint was easy but the second one wasn't," Buemi commented at the end of the race.

"I struggled to keep Vergne under control, but there was however no need to get much of a gap because of a safety car, and then you lose everything. It wasn't as easy in the second stint."

Buemi's flawless run this season means the Swiss currently enjoys maximum points with a tally of 75, while di Grassi holds on to second, albeit at a fair distance with 43 points. Nicolas Prost closes the top three in the standings with 36 points.
