The first Spanish Grand Prix took placeĀ in Barcelona in 1951 on the Pedralbes circuit, a trackĀ of 6.3km usingĀ the boulevards near the seaĀ south of the city. Juan Manuel Fangio's Alfa Romeo completed the race at an average ofĀ over 160 km/h. OneĀ other edition took place in 1954 atĀ Pedralbes, withĀ Mike Hawthorn scoring his first win for Ferrari.
