Josef Newgarden completed on Sunday the clean sweep weekend he had started the day before at IndyCar's Iowa Speedway.
However, Newgarden's sixth career victory at the short Newton oval was a close affair as he edged Penske Racing teammate Will Power by just 0.705s at the checkered flag.
A late caution period in the 250-lap event set up a three-lap shootout, with Newgarden emerging victorious from Power and championship leader Alex Palou.
"We knew we had a great car, and the pressure was there because I think we wanted to execute on it and make sure it was a great weekend," a jubilant Newgarden said after the race.
"I’m happy now. When you finish the first race, it’s great to have a doubleheader, but you just feel incomplete until you get through today. To be able to come back and do it again, I’m so proud of the team."

With five races to go, Palou still enjoys a comfortable lead in the Drivers' standings, the Chip Ganassi Racing charger sitting on 477 points, with Newgarden now 80 points adrift.
IndyCar will resume its action on the streets of Nashville on August 6.
