In 1992, the Renault-powered Williams FW14B was the class of the field with Nigel Mansell securing five consecutive wins to open the season. The Briton was on course to make it six victories out of six races in Monaco when a loose wheel nut forced him to pit in the closing stages. Although Mansell quickly caught up with the slower McLaren of Ayrton Senna, the triple world champion pulled out all the defending moves in the rulebook to secure win #5 in Monaco.
