Alexander Albon, Williams (Did Not Start): 5.5/10
Alex Albon is definitely going through something of a rough patch at the moment. The weekend started well enough with fifth place in practice, and he made it through to the final round of sprint qualifying to start in ninth place. Unfortunately he wasn't able to get into the points during the race. He was into the final round of qualifying for the Grand Prix on Sunday and again made it to through to Q3 only to suffer a high speed crash after locking up into turn 1. The damage to his car was too extensive for Williams to repair in the time available before the start of the Grand Prix. It left Albon an unhappy observer on the sidelines for the rest of the event, watching as his team mate also crashed out.
Lance Stroll, Aston Martin (Did Not Start): 3.5/10
Aston Martin has been off-colour for some time now and it was no surprise to see Lance Stroll 17th in practice in Brazil, and again in sprint qualifying. The team worked on the car overnight before the sprint race but it didn't do much good and Stroll was running last at the chequered flag. The wet conditions on Sunday helped him get through to the final round of qualifying for the Grand Prix, but by then he had crashed at the end of Q2. The team was able to rebuild the car in time for the main race but something went wrong on the way to the grid. "It was a really strange one. It felt like a brake failure because as soon as I touched the brakes it locked the rear axle and I was a passenger."
