Like most F1 venues, Montreal has updated it's track and safety features to contend with the 2017 new -spec faster cars.
Most of the transformations at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve are linked to guardrails and tyre barriers, most of which shall be replaced by the dedicated TecPro barriers which offer improved dispersion of energy in the event of an impact.
The infamous 'Wall of Champions' located at the exit of the last chicane just before the pit straight will see its angle slightly modified, while the FIA has also requested that several gravel trap areas be replaced by asphalt.
Construction and transformation is currently underway with all work expected to be finished by mid-May.
The Canadian Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on June 9-11.
