Cooler temps in Sochi won't hinder Ferrari - Vettel

Sebastian Vettel is warning that cooler temperatures at next week's Russian Grand Prix are unlikely to hinder Ferrari's outright speed at Sochi.

Many have suggested that warm temperatures have helped the Scuderia's resurgence and early season form, which has seen Vettel win two of the first three races of 2017.

But Vettel denies that Melbourne and Bahrain's warm environments played meaningfully in to the performance of his SF70H at those venues.

"I do not think we will have problems in Sochi due to there being lower temperatures than in Bahrain," Vettel told Italy's La Gazzeta dello Sport.

"In China it was cool and we were competitive," he insisted.

"Our task is to keep putting pressure on our opponents, primarily Lewis Hamilton. Until now, Ferrari has had perfect tactics but we need to keep concentrating fully on the job."
