Fernando Alonso spent yesterday at Andretti Autosport's base at Indianapolis yesterday, getting acquainted with team members and preparing for a the all-important seat fitting.

Flanked by his new mentor Gil De Ferran, the McLaren driver took the air of the workshop, immersing himself in his new environment and even getting a glimpse of the gleaming and coveted Borg Warner trophy.

If Alonso finds himself on Victory Lane on May 28th he would be the sixth F1 world champion to have his portrait added to the famous and imposing trophy.

Jim Clark was the first Grand Prix driver and world champion to win Indy in 1965, and was succeeded by Graham Hill, Mario Andretti, Emerson Fittipaldi and Jacques Villeneuve.
