Haas F1 Team boss Guenther Steiner says there wasn't much that could have gone worse for the US outfit in Sochi last weekend.
Following two points-scoring races in China and Bahrain, the team left Russia empty-handed with Romain Grosjean putting himself out of contention at the outset after tangling with Jolyon Palmer's Renault shortly after the start.
Team mate Kevin Magnussen appeared to have the pace to secure a top-10 finish but a five-second time penalty for exceeding track limits at Turn 2 set the Dane back to P13.
"I'm pissed off with the weekend as you get when you have a weekend like this," said Steiner.
"Almost everything that can go wrong went wrong."
"You live by your choices. [Without the penalty, points] would have been possible but I don't know - It would have been a tough battle.
"The strategy could have been completely different so it's difficult to know. There was a bigger chance without the penalty."
"We just lost too much time and that was the race. We just tried to bring the car home because there was nothing to be gained or lost. We started 13th, we finished 13th. Now we go to Barcelona."
