Sebastian Vettel has extended his stay with Ferrari until 2020, securing his future with the House of Maranello for three more seasons.
Ferrari was apparently enticed to announce Vettel's new deal to put an end to distracting speculation regarding the German driver's future.
Along with the announcement of Kimi Raikkonen's re-signing earlier this week, the Scuderia will thus enjoy a stable foundation on the driver front in 2018.
Vettel joined Ferrai from Red Bull in 2015 but has yet to win a title with the Italian outfit, and add a crown to the four consecutive championships he won with the Milton Keynes-based outfit.
With four wins under his belt in 2017, the 30-year-old currently leads the world championship by 14 points.
Valtteri Bottas is the only driver among the top three teams who has yet to be confirmed, although Mercedes is rumored to have renewed the Finn's contract for 2018.
