Daniel Ricciardo isn't troubled by Christian Horner's desire to build Red Bull Racing's future around team mate Max Verstappen.
Both Ricciardo and Verstappen are committed to the Milton Keynes-based outfit for another year, but both drivers have raised the possibility of moving on if Red Bull fails to deliver a competitive package in 2018.
The Aussie admitted he wasn't affected by Horner's comments as he believes his team mate evolves in a different context than his own.
"Max is 10 years younger than me," Ricciardo said.
"I wouldn't say we're at different points in our career but, naturally because of his age, perhaps he's in a different situation. That's probably the best way of putting it.
"But we're still racing to win, doing what we can, hopefully getting in the middle of Lewis and Seb. I'm hopeful of another win this year and hopefully this weekend can be the one."
