Renault F1's junior and development driver Jack Aitken will enjoy his first run in the French team's R.S.18 next week at F1's first in-season test.
All F1 teams will remain at the Circuit de Catalunya after this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix for the two-day test which takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Aitken, who currently competes in Formula 2 with ART Grand Prix, has already sampled Renault's 2012 E20 during demo runs, but will get his first experience in a new-spec machine.
"I'm delighted to be given the opportunity to test the R.S.18 for the first time, and I'm very grateful for this chance," said Aitken.
"I've spoken briefly with the engineers and it sounds like I’ve got a full day ahead of me, I can't wait!
"I'll try my best to maximise the opportunity and help the team as much as I can."
Carlos Sainz is expected to conduct testing duties for the team on the opening day of the test.
Fellow British hopefuls Lando Norris and George Russell shall also take part in next week's test, respectively with McLaren and Force India.
