Nico Rosberg says he feels "good in any condition" after securing pole position for the United States Grand Prix.

With qualifying taking place on Sunday, Rosberg was quickest in Q2 before conditions got too bad for running and saw Q3 cancelled. With the track remaining very wet ahead of this afternoon's race, Rosberg says he feels confident regardless of the weather in Austin.

”It was supposed to be drying out from now onwards but it really doesn’t look like it out there, so who knows?" Rosberg said when asked about the weather. "I feel good in any condition at the moment and our car is great in any condition, even full wets, intermediates, drys, whatever, so it’s fine.”

And Rosberg says he was feeling confident of securing pole position having saved a new set of tyres for Q3.

“It’s been a really good qualifying, I felt comfortable in the car. It’s difficult out there with the aquaplaning and everything. When it happens you just really struggle to have control of the car, it just snaps suddenly without warning so that made it quite challenging out there, but I put a good lap together. It was with a used set of tyres so that was even better really. For Q3 I had a new set to go, so I was feeling really good.”
