Hamilton has been unwell with a fever and delayed his arrival in Brazil, while he yesterday revealed a car crash in Monaco was the result of a hectic lifestyle since the Mexican Grand Prix.
Nico Rosberg will be keen to take advantage of any weaknesses in Hamilton's state of mind this weekend having beaten his team-mate in Mexico. However, Ferrari is likely to provide a stronger challenge after both Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen crashed out of the last race.
Red Bull is running an updated Renault power unit for the first time this season, with Daniel Ricciardo taking the new engine during Friday practice. Ricciardo played down the expected gains in terms of lap time yesterday, but admits any clear signs of improvement could influence Red Bull's thinking regarding 2016.
Jolyon Palmer drives for Lotus once again in FP1 as the only driver change on Friday morning, with hot weather potentially set to give way to thunderstorms in the afternoon.
