As the 1000th race of the F1 world championship, this week's Chinese Grand Prix will enjoy a special status, but Haas' Kevin Magnussen will approach the milestone event in his normal way.
Festivities and celebrations will be at the forefront in Shanghai where Haas delivered back-to-back point-scoring results in its last two visits to China, courtesy of Magnussen.
Haas performed well in qualifying in Bahrain, but the pace of the US outfit's VF-19 on race day was clearly disappointing.
"Fortunately, we had the test after the race which will have allowed the team to evaluate and, hopefully, find some answers from our weekend," said Magnussen in the team's Chinese Grand Prix preview.
Despite his positive track record with Haas in China, Magnussen reminds us that past performance is no indication of future results.
"Each race is different every year," added the Dane. "You come with a different car, a different package.
"It’s not like you can look at past results and say that it gives you confidence, as such.
"I guess some tracks suit you better than others, but I wouldn’t say China is a standout, really.
"It’s a pretty standard race. We’ll go about it in the normal way to try and get the best possible result."
While it will be business as usual for Haas in Shanghai, Magnussen admitted the landmark event would still provide him with a reminder of how lucky he is to be among Grand Prix racing's happy few.
"It’s great to be part of this sport," he said. "It’s been my dream since I was a child.
"It’s very much heritage from my dad.
"I’m looking forward to celebrating the 1,000th Grand Prix in China."
