Antonio Felix da Costa will race alongside 2018/19 Formula E champion Jean-Eric Vergne at DS Techeetah where the former BMW Andretti driver will replace André Lotterer.
Da Costa raced for three seasons in FE with BMW i Andretti Motorsport, securing his first and only win in the all-electric series last year in Saudi Arabia, concluding the championship sixth in the standings.
"Getting the opportunity to join a double championship-winning team in such a highly competitive motorsport category like Formula E is very rare," said da Costa.
"It was a very hard decision to leave my current position but it’s an opportunity I just couldn’t say no to and I’m very excited to join Jean-Eric and everyone at DS Techeetah."
DS Techeetah team principal Mark Preston said:
"It’s fantastic to have Antonio with the team. He’s a good friend to all of us and we’re all looking forward to welcoming him and to see him in the gold and black DS Techeetah colours," said Team Principal Mark Preston.
"He will be a great, and fast, addition to the team and we’re all very excited to see what Jean-Eric and Antonio will deliver on track this coming year."
BMW i Andretti Motorsport has yet to reveal its full 2019/20 line-up, with German driver Max Guenther confirmed to race with the US team earlier this month, and incumbent Alexander Sims believed to still be in the frame for the team's second seat.
Formula E's sixth season will kick off with a double-header season-opener at Al Diriyah in Saudi Arabia.
