Carlos Sainz will reportedly enjoy his very first test with Ferrari next week at Fiorano, running onboard the Scuderia's 2018-spec car.
Sainz has been settling in with his new team at Maranello recently, taking part in engineering debriefs and simulator work, but next week's run will allow for a full-scale test of all the team's and his crew's procedures.
According to a report from Motorsport.com, Sainz's outing will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, while Charles Leclerc is also expected to be on hand to drive Ferrari's SF71H.
Both drivers will only get acquainted with their 2021 charger in Bahrain, when F1's three days of pre-season testing kick off on March 12 at Sakhir.
Ferrari's multi-day track deployment at Fiorano will apparently also include runs for Scuderia Driver Academy members, Robert Shwartzman and Marcus Armstrong, while Giuliano Alesi is also expected to take to the track.
