Formula E has started to reshuffle its 2021 schedule in the wake of several disruptions, adding a visit in April to the Valencia Ricardo Tomo track to its agenda.
Logistical and safety constraints amid the global coronavirus pandemic have led to the cancellation or postponement of events that were initially set to take place in Paris, Sanya in China and Seoul.
However, the ABB FIA Formula E championship has preserved its opening double-header round at in Saudi Arabia, at Ad Diriyah on February 26-27, an event that will be followed by a race in Rome on April 4.
But in a bid to beef up its calendar, the all-electric series will forego its principle of racing only on street tracks and set up shop at Valencia on April 24, a first for Formula E, although the series conducted its 2021 pre-season test at the Spanish circuit.
Additional dates include a round of racing in the Principality of Monaco on May 8, in Marrakesh on May 22 and a double header in Santiago de Chile on June 5-6.

"We are working closely with all our partners across teams, manufacturers, sponsors, broadcasters and host cities to adapt to external circumstances and ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.
"We will do so while maintaining what fans love most about Formula E: unpredictable racing, iconic locations and the blend of the real and virtual worlds, all underpinned by our race for better futures."
Formula E is expected to offer an update on its Season 7 campaign and the fate of its Sanya and Seoul events in the early spring.
