Even before he hitting the track in Miami, Lando Norris has achieved a slam dunk with a stunning one-off lid for this weekend's event.
The McLaren driver has gone from track to court with his special Miami Grand Prix helmet design, which remarkably replicates the NBA's official basketball, supplied to the series by Wilson.
Hats off to the artist at Bell Helmets who whipped up the design, with its rubber texture, black lines et al.
And for good measure, a limited number of half-scale models will be available on Norris' merchandise website for his fans to enjoy.
"I saw some people playing basketball one time, and I thought, damn, that’d make for a cool helmet," Norris told his fans.
"You’ve only got 24 hours after the race finishes to order this special, so shoot your shot while you can."
A word of caution to Lando's fans: as realistic as it looks, it's unlikely the helmet will bounce!
