Turbo issue restricts Haas to one lap

Haas completed just one lap on the second day of the final pre-season test before it had to end running due to a turbo issue.

The new team had already lost running on Tuesday - when it was stopped by a fuel system issue after 23 laps - and suffered more reliability problems on the second day. Following an installation lap the team said it was investigating a turbocharger problem and failed to return before the lunch break.

With Esteban Gutierrez still to get back out on track after two hours of the afternoon session, Haas confirmed it had ended its running for the day.

Recent reliability problems have left Gutierrez with just 24 laps to his name over his final two days in the car, with Romain Grosjean scheduled to drive on Thursday and Friday. Team owner Gene Haas said during the lunch break the team was likely to revisit its driver plan if Gutierrez did not manage to get any more mileage on Wednesday.

Haas completed 281 laps over the first four days of testing last week, with the team making its grand prix debut on March 20 in Australia.
