Aston Martin and Saudi energy company Aramco have extended their technical and commercial partnership for an additional five years.
The new deal will see Aramco become from 2024 the team’s exclusive title partner, with US tech giant Cognizant no longer included in the Silverstone-based outfit’s official appellation.
It will therefore compete from next season as ‘Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team’.
“We are very proud to continue and strengthen our successful partnership with Aramco,” commented Lawrence Stroll, Aston Martin F1’s executive chairman.
“We already enjoy an important strategic relationship and their support as our title partner for the next five years is a clear demonstration of our shared ambition.
“Since 2022, they have played a key role in Aston Martin’s Formula One® journey and their contribution will only become more significant in the years ahead.

“Aramco’s expertise and products will make a real contribution to our on-track performance and add significant value in many other areas of our organisation, especially at our new AMR Technology Campus.”

Aston Martin and Aramco said that they will also work on joint science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) initiatives to inspire the young technicians, engineers and drivers of the future.
Aston concluded its 2023 campaign fifth in F1’s Constructors’ standings, with Fernando Alonso delivering eight podiums to his outfit over the course of the season.
Currently powered by Mercedes, the team will switch to Honda engines from 2026 upon the introduction of Formula 1’s new technical and power unit regulations.
