Nico Rosberg has described Ferrari as "very dangerous" after it showed "serious pace" in practice for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
While Rosberg topped the second practice session - and only representative one as it took place at the same time as qualifying and the race - Sebastian Vettel showed strong long run pace in FP2, posting times quicker than his fellow German at the start of their comparable runs. Rosberg admits the pace shown from Ferrari is a concern, especially as there is little chance to learn from FP3 on Saturday.
"We’ve learned that it is pointless driving at lunchtime because we don’t learn anything because the race is in the evening and it’s such different conditions," Rosberg said. "After that in the evening we learned that we were very quick on one lap again and the Ferrari is very dangerous to us on the long run because they have serious pace."
Asked if Ferrari is a genuine threat, Rosberg replied: "Yeah, for sure. It looks like it.
"[Friday] was good but the pace of the Ferraris is very worrying because in qualifying we are again much quicker, but in the race they are quick."
