Seventeen years ago today, on October 21 2007, Kimi Räikkonen started the final race of the season in Brazil third in the Drivers' standings, seven points behind the championship's leader, McLaren's Lewis Hamilton.
A few hours and one astonishing victory later, the day belonged to the Iceman - the 2007 F1 World Champion - after the Finn defeated the Briton by a single point.
And perhaps even more astonishing - and sad - is the fact that Kimi remains to this day Ferrari's last crowned champion.
But perhaps the most impressive statistic imbedded in Raikkonen's outstanding F1 career is that he participated by the end of his career in 2021 in almost one third of the rounds of the F1 World Championship since the series' inception in 1950!
