Lewis Hamilton launched his F1 career eleven years ago today, in 2006, as he tested for McLaren in Barcelona in preparation for his maiden season of Grand Prix racing.
Two-time world champion Mika Hakkinen, who also took to the track, was on hand to advise the young apprentice.
Twelve months later, Hamilton would come within one race of winning the title on his first try.
