In this day and age of overly fussy and convoluted F1 helmet designs, the sight of a clean and uncluttered lid is a refreshing appearance.
Everyone appears to have added a touch of 'Race #1000' to their lid for this weekend's landmark Chinese Grand Prix, but over at Renault, Daniel Ricciardo has gone another route, and kept it wonderfully simple.
The Aussie is celebrating Formula 1's historic milestone with a tribute to Sir Jack Brabham, Australia's first Grand Prix winner and world champion, and the only man to win the title in a car bearing his own name.
Danny Ric's one-off design takes on the color and motif donned by Brabham in the early sixties, but it also features stone chips and stuck-on decals.
Definitely a great example of 'less is more'...
