Max Verstappen arrived in Austin all suited and booted Texas-style and surrounded with the aura of a freshly crowned F1 World Champion.
Saddling his Red Bull, the Dutchman is ready to round up his rivals this weekend at The Circuit of the Americas and extend his 2022 winning streak to 13 which would put Verstappen on par with Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel as a co-record holder for the most F1 wins in a single season.
But Verstappen and teammate Sergio Perez will also be focused on bagging the greatest number of points in Austin to help Red Bull secure the Constructors' title.
"It was special to secure the Drivers’ Championship in Japan, I didn’t get the chance to celebrate too much as we’re still focussed on securing the Constructors’ Championship for the Team," said Max.
"The ultimate goal is of course to win both, but we need to keep our heads down, it will come if we keep performing well.
"I’m looking forward to the remaining races. It’s great to be back in Austin, I love the city and the track. Winning here last year was amazing and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do this weekend."
